For Father’s Day, I wanted to veer a bit from my usual writings to have a special post in honor of the day.
Dads play such an important role in a child’s life. I can remember Sunday trips to the beach or mountains, afternoons in the park, and riding my bike, with my dad often hiding behing the polaroid or video camera to capture so many special moments. Now that I have a family of my own, I realize even more so how quickly time passes, and I try to capture as many wonderful moments between my son and husband as I can.
I went digging through some old photos, and managed to come across these images of my dad and myself on my birthday, with my brand new bike. My parents had set up a special scavenger hunt, and after following the notes I was lead to the kitchen where this bike was placed. We headed outside to give it a test run!
As a final note, I found this article on Huffingtonpost that I just had to share which highlights wonderful moments of fathers with their daughters on each of their wedding days.
Do you have any special memories about your dad? I would love to hear in the comments!
Happy Father’s Day, everyone!
